About the Northfleet History Group.
Thirteen people came along to Northfleet History Group’s first meeting on Tuesday the 13th January 2004 at the Rainbow Centre, Rose Street, Northfleet. With each meeting the numbers attending grew and in early 2007 we outgrew the Rainbow Centre, with in excess of 80 people attending the meetings, and moved to St Botolph’s Church Hall, The Hill. Northfleet in May.

The format of the meetings is an illustrated talk for the first hour, followed by refreshments and then a short session giving members the opportunity to discuss Northfleet’s past.
Also in 2007, we produced our first magazine and one has been produced every year since. Most of the articles are written by members of the group. Articles, no matter how short but no more than about 1,500 words, are also very welcome from those that have knowledge and memories of Northfleet but no longer live in the area.
